Do you prefer to build up your confidence with indoor skydiving before you go for a 13,000-ft jump? Try the SkyVenture wind tunnel at our skydiving facility close to Yuma. Experience the rush of flying in a secure, controlled environment suitable for all ages under the guidance of a professional, friendly instructor.
SkyVenture has four super-powerful fans pulling air into the chamber at a controllable speed. The setup perfectly simulates freefall at a speed of up to 150 mph. The wind will support your body, so you’ll feel like you’re flying rather than falling.
Indoor skydiving is an option for almost any healthy person except pregnant women, although some weight limitations apply. Children over three years old may fly with a Parental Release Form.
Skydiving School
If you want to take your jumps to the next level and become a USPA-licensed skydiver, consider our Accelerated Skydiving Program (ASP). Once you complete the course, you’ll acquire an A license and can jump without an instructor.
Our skydiving training program will introduce you to key elements like altimeter, parachute deployment, canopy control, and terminal velocity. The ASP is suitable for people over 18 with no medical issues incompatible with skydiving. You may be able to complete the course and obtain your license in as little as a week.
The program steps are as follows:
- A tandem jump with an instructor
- Ground school where you learn the rules of skydiving
- Indoor skydiving that allows you to practice your turns, deployment, and body positioning
- An open-air skydive first with two, and then only with one instructor
- Your first solo jumps
- Coached jumps that help you fine-tune your freefall skills and prepare you for group skydiving
- Packing class and skydiving with gear you packed yourself
- A theoretical A-license exam and a test dive
After you complete the program and the USPA approves your license, you may jump at any USPA drop zone, rent or buy skydiving gear, and take more advanced skydiving courses.

Advanced training is available to USPA members (or international jumpers with an equivalent certificate). Our center spans almost 90 acres of desert and includes a gear store and a rigging loft. We can accommodate up to 240 skydivers at once.
