Today, we meet a guy who's incredibly motivated, just earned his A-license and dreams of getting is Pro Rating. Meet the guy Skydive AZ followed his progress LIVE on Facebook, Robert Ross!

What do you do for a living/career?
I love working with my hands and making people happy. So, I am the owner of a small handyman/landscping company in the East Mesa area.
What/who inspired you to make your first jump?
When I was 6, I saw The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers at the movies. In the opening credits they are skydiving and one of them was skysurfing. Once I saw them flying around, I knew I wanted to be able to fly too.
What was the hardest part for you earning your A-license?
The hardest part of earning my A-license was really just being able to make time available to get my jumps in every week.

How long did it take you to earn your license?
Really it took me 21 years! But actually I had my first tandem in 2012. Then I started my license at Skydive AZ in May this year, graduating recently in August!
What kind of student do you think you were?
I definitely was the nervous student. Not so much about falling from 13,000ft. But just getting everything right while someone is watching you, falling from 13,000ft!
There are several skydiving centers to choose from, what made you choose Adventures in Skydiving here at Skydive Arizona?
I chose Adventurers in Skydiving at Skydive AZ to learn to skydive at. Was because I was reading reviews online and what I looked at was not just all the good reviews. It was the bad reviews I looked at most. And I saw that each situation was responded to so well, that this was going to be a place I would trust with teaching me.

What are your future skydiving goals?
My future goals in Skydiving are optimistic. I really miss competition, so I really just hope to get my Pro rating and just compete in any discipline, till I find what I am great at.
What’s the best resource you’ve found as a newbie?
The best resources for a newbie are all the knowledge from everyone at Skydive Arizona.
Anything else you’d like to add?
I truly want to thank everyone at Skydive Arizona. From everyone at Adventures in Skydiving too other jumpers at the DZ. Everyone is really friendly and willing to help any newbie with all kinds of advice!
