Rookie Roundup - Spring Edition 2015

April 28, 2015

Skydive Arizona opens its doors with an extraordinary opportunity for newbies up to 300 jumps to have an inviting platform to jump with world class coaches, for free! "The drop zone realizes that Skydive Arizona may be intimidating to most jumpers, especially newbies," says Marketing and Events Coordinator, Melissa Lowe. "This is an awesome opportunity not only to come out and check out the drop zone, but to be able to sit down with world class coaches, jump with them, and listen in on seminars or hang out with them at the BBQ."

Sixty rookies from all around the country partook in the spring edition of Rookie Roundup on April 17-18. Vendors, Sun Path, Innovative Parachute Technologies and Freefall Suits also participated offering demos and prizes for the raffle. Coaches ranged from Thiago Gomes and Chris Farina of Arizona Airspeed to Niklas Daniel and Brianne Thompson of Axis Flight School to Melissa and Ben Lowe as well as load organizers Wade Baird, Chazi Blacksher, Nancy Koreen, Craig Amrine, Chris Anderson and a few local teams such as Arizona X-Force, Arsenal and Defiance.

Karla Young and Katrina Dilorio celebrated their 100th jumps during Rookie Roundup and Luis Benito Zenil Ariza was the lucky winner of an entire FREE canopy from Innovative Parachute Technologies!

The next Rookie Roundup is scheduled for October 10-11. Stay tuned to Skydive Arizona's Facebook page or www.SkydiveAZ.com/experienced/events for more detailed event information.
