Valentine's Day Money Meet

February 11, 2012 - February 12, 2012

February 11-12, 2012

XXVIIIth Annual Valentines Money Meet

2012 marks the 28th consecutive year for the Valentine’s Day Meet! As usual, we will have USPA and/orFAI judges scoring the event using Omniskore. 4-way will use IPC rules. The IPC meets two weeks prior to the meet, and if there are any significant changes to 4-way competition rules we reserve the right to implement them in place of our existing rules.

The meet standings and awards will be based on six rounds of competition. Hopefully we will complete those on Saturday, weather permitting, and present awards at sunset Saturday. Teams interested in jumping the full draw will be able to jump, and be scored, through ten rounds. For these teams I expect we will be able to complete seven rounds Saturday (with good weather) and finish the final rounds before noon on Sunday.

Friday: Practice and Registration. Draw and Briefing at 6:30 PM.

Saturday: Last minute registration 7:30 to 7:45. Fifteen minute call at 7:45 AM.

Sunday: any unfinished rounds. If weather on Saturday is poor, we will make a decision on Saturday afternoon as to how many hours of jumping we can complete on Sunday. This will depend on departure times for judges and competitors.

Jumps plus $35 per person ($175 per team.)

Teams can compete using the draw appropriate to their training goals: IPC dive pool (USPA Open/Advanced, NSL “AAA”) or USPA Intermediate (NSL “AA”). Whether or not there will be a NSL “A” class will depend on interest. Medals and prizes will only be awarded in events with three or more teams competing.

This meet has its own rules, closely based on the current IPC rules. Whether or not any changes to the rules coming out of the January IPC meeting are implemented at Valentine’s Day will be at the discretion of the judges and Meet Director.
