Bulletin Two
Dear Competitors, Delegation Members, and Guests; Skydive Arizona is delighted to host the 2005 World Cup of Formation Skydiving, Canopy Formations, and Artistic Events. We look forward to renewing ties with the many competitors we have met at past events and to meeting those of you who will be visiting Arizona for the first time.
Since we hosted the 2000 World Cups of Formation Skydiving and Artistic Events we have added several buildings, including the world’s finest freefall wind tunnel. For those of you who will be visiting Skydive Arizona for the first time, we also have two large grass landing areas, a challenging swoop pond, indoor packing, The Bent Prop bar and restaurant, equipment sales and service right on the drop zone, a swimming pool, wireless internet access and an internet café, therapeutic massage, and camping and caravan facilities.
Another change since the 2000 World Cups is that teams will be responsible for their own lodging arrangements. This will give teams the opportunity to select lodging that best suits their tastes and budget. At our web site you will find detailed information about lodging options.
One thing that has not changed is the quality of our aircraft and staff. Once again we will be using our Twin Otters for all competition events, but if you would like to sample some of the other aircraft after competition ends we will have our Skyvans, King Air A-100, DC-3, and Beech 18 available.
The 2005 World Cups marks the fourth time Skydive Arizona has hosted an IPC First Category Event and our experienced staff will do everything possible to make sure the competition runs in a safe, efficient and fair manner. We urge you to fill out the provisional registration forms as soon as possible in order to help us prepare, and we invite you to contact us with any special requests you may have.
Sincerely,
Bryan Burke

Transportation
All major rental car firms operate in Phoenix, about 80 km to the north of the host drop zone. Two rental car companies operate in Casa Grande, 20 km. from the drop zone. For best rates contact a rental car firm well in advance and consider picking your car up away from the airport locations, which are often more expensive. Teams wishing to stay at Skydive Arizona without renting a vehicle can arrange for a shuttle from the airport to the drop zone. For details on shuttle service, go to www.skydiveaz.com. Click on “Facilities” and then “Lodging.”
Food and Lodging
Detailed information on area lodging options is available on our web site www.skydiveaz.com. Click on the “Facilities” navigation button. After that, a second navigation bar will appear. Click on “lodging.” Area hotels are displayed at the bottom of the lodging page. Besides the drop zone restaurant and food vendors there are dozens of restaurants and grocery stores within a few kilometers of the dz.
